The Thang:

Weather-  It was a BEAUTIFUL 40* Clear Skies, Amazing Sunrise

Well 1st I want to say THANK YOU, to all the Pax that came today.  It really means a lot.  I had never intended on this being a convergence, but after some persuasion from Flash and a few other guys, the AOQ’s shut everything down and made today very special.

I got to the AO around 6:30 to start prep. Viagra met me early to help get the logs out and then had a meeting with my partners in crime to go over any loose ends on what was about to go down.  I actually sent them the plan last night and they all acknowledged receipt, except some didnt read the whole thing or do their homework, but we pulled it off.  Guys are showing up left and right and its about time to go!

Short Disclaimer Given, Crank up the Tunes, Lets Go!

Time starts at 0700, we mosey over to the large lot across the street since we had so many vics (cars) in the parking lot.  YHC get the Pax circled up for a decent warm-o-rama.

SSH x 20 IC, 5 Merkins OYO, Tempo Squats x 10 IC, 5 Merkins OYO, Imperial Walkers x 15 IC, 5 Merkins OYO, TTT x 15 IC, 5 Merkins OYO…. After some quick circle work I got the pax lined up for the pain train.  All Pax completed Step Ups full length of Pylons in Parking Lot ( IF THIS WAS YOUR FIRST TIME DOING THESE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!).  After that quick work all the pax circle back up to break up into Teams.  I had all the pax count by “3”s.  I quoted this since it seemed pretty even when we counted off, but teams were no where even after the fact, i guess Pax cant count.  Oh Well.  Here we go:

Team 1- Enron (Heads to station 1 with his pax)

Team 2- Viagra (Heads to station 2 with his pax)

Team 3- Cubbie (Heads to station 3 with his pax)

STATION 1- (2) Full Court Agassi’s  with Merkins at each line (1 at 1st Line, 2 at 2nd Line, 3 at 3rd….etc )  If time allowed rinse and repeat, substitute merkins with squats

STATION 2- Vista Parking Deck, Run Ramps Backwards and Straightaways normal all the way to top.  Complete Heels to Heaven x 10 IC, Box Cutters x 10 IC, American Hammers x 10 IC

STATION 3- Log Flip Race, Each Pax flips log, runs to other end of parking lot and completes (2) Big Boy SSU, then runs back and flips log again.  1st log to other side wins.  Race Back, If time allowed rinse and repeat, substitute Big Boys with Burpees.

All Team Leaders were advised that time was the critical factor here, I did not one team finishing way before the rest, or one team being way behind.  Strict instructions were given to be at beach access NLT (No Later Than) 0740.  I wanted to get the guys out on the beach to see the sunrise, and boy it did not disappoint.  It was a beautiful site, and it timed out right with the tide being out.  So to build some comradery, we did some simple group exercises:

Pax locked arms for BIG BOYS x 15 Single Count

Merkins x 10 Single Count

As a group, Lunge Walk Towards Ocean.

Enough of the pretty view, time to get back to work.  I break the Pax up into 2 Columns, Indian Run down beach with last Pax dropping off and completing (1) Burpee before sprinting to the front.  We went down a ways then due to time B-Lined to beach access and after the stragglers caught up, moseys back to start.  At this point there was only about 2 mins left in the Q so instead of throwing some more down i decided to slow it down and stretch it out (something I have found we do not do enough of)

It was a fast paced workout with the goal to keep everyone moving around the AO.  There is a lot to do at Timeshare and I wanted all the guys that haven’t been up here to get the full tour.  I appreciate the help from my Tour Guides this morning as they did a good job keeping the timing correct.  I noticed though that a lot of Pax cant Count or I am assuming a lot of them have some fear of the number 3 (maybe there mother counted to 3 a lot when they were younger… lol) since the 3rd Team only had 4 pax.

Again, I really appreciate everyone coming out, I hope you all got as much out of it as I did.  If I wasn’t on Q I would have been on the PRE RUCK at 0600.  Those guys are dedicated to building the local ruck group and they are doing an awesome job.  If you haven’t been out with the guys I highly recommend it.
