The Thang:

70’s, Nice breeze and not too humid (aka Awesome)

I haven’t had the chance to lead a Saturday Q since I started F3 and about a month ago I started looking at the calendar and noticed that YHC’s birthday just so happened to fall on one. So I hit up Skidmark (AOQ) and told him to sign me up, but to mark it down as a “Mystery Q”. I wanted to drive up a little of the intrigue and see if I could get some curious PAX to show up. Got to the AO early and set up some stations and cones and waited with Rainman until the rest of the PAX arrived. With a couple of minutes to go the PAX started questioning who was the mystery Q and threw out some guesses.

1 Minute Warning – finally revealed that I was indeed the mystery Q for today.

Quick intro and disclaimer given and we’re off!

SSH x 35 IC (Some of the PAX were onto me now), LBAC x 20 IC, LBAC IR x 20 IC, TTT x 20 IC, Windmill x 20 IC, IW x 20 IC, Merkins x 22 (#22kills), Indian Run around the AO

The THANG –
Elevens: (Originally was going to do this with a saturday favorite of jumping over the fence, but with a church group getting ready to depart for their trip by the student center, I didnt want us to get in the way)

  • Merkins and squats

After everybody finished up, moseyed to the coupon pile to grab a paver, and then headed to the big lot

Four Corners: Round 1

Had everybody drop their block in the middle to explain what we were going to do.

We would start out by doing an exercise in the middle, then go to a corner and do the exercise written on a piece of paper that I had prestaged, then back to the middle exercise, then to the next corner and so on and so forth until we hit each corner.

7 x Burpees (Center) – 35 total

13 x Merkins (Corner 1)

19 x Squats (Corner 2)

84 x Flutters (Corner 3 – single count)

35 x LBC (Corner 4)

7/13/19/84/35 = July 13, 1984 – 35 years old

Four Corners: Round 2

Same deal, but this time we’re using the coupons at every corner

7 x Blockees (Center)

13 x OH Press (C1)

19 x Block Swings (C2)

84 x Calf Raises (C3)

35 x LBC w/block (C4)

Take blocks towards the football field

Kevin Durants aka 35s:

Decided to just make up a little routine of my own and thought the name was appropriate. For those that dont know, Kevin Durant’s number is 35 (except it won’t be in Brooklyn for some reason), so this is a take on the BEAST except its 3 stations set up approx. 25 yards apart, 5 reps at each station, and a full sprint back to the finish.

Round 1 – Merkins

Round 2 – SSH

Round 3 – Mtn Climbers

Round 4 – BBSU

Finish taking the coupons back to the pile and circle up for some Mary

MARY – circled up for some PAX choice

Texas Ranger – Crunchy Frogs x 20 IC

Beefsteak – American Hammers x 20 IC

Sunshing – Alternating shoulder taps x 35 IC

Sade – Peter Parkers x 12 IC

Flyover – Flutterkicks x 35 IC

Quaker – SSH x 35 IC

Rainman – Supermans x 13 with a 35 sec hold to finish
