50 years on earth. 1970 is not only a life time ago, it seems as if it were a different planet! Life was slower and more innocent. Ridiculous plaid pants and big collared shirts were all the rage. Jogging was not yet invented and men with ripped muscles were usually found only at the County Fair Freak Shows. Professional Athletes smoked in the dugouts and ate & drank to abandon. Only men in the ballet wore tights and that was even seen as questionable. There was no such thing as manscaping: hairy chests (and dare I say hairy backs) belonged to ‘true men’. Our fathers worked with their hands and we enjoyed Saturday picnics with our extended families at the local lake or river or just in our backyards.

As kids we had free range of the neighborhood and could run across anyone’s property on our way to meet friends. You knew your friends’ parents and you talked to whoever answered the phone. There were even limits on how long you could talk to a buddy or a girl on the phone because there was just one phone in the house. Wireless phones didn’t arrive until the mid 80’s. You would bike 10 miles from home to see a girl and your first car was barely street legal (but you loved it).

Almost every memory is a fond one: the sites, the sounds, even the smell of the air seemed purer. Was it better? Or was it just different? 50 years gives one perspective. Like the saying goes, “The Only Constant in Life is Change”. We’ve all had our ups and downs, good times and bad but I can honestly say that I wouldn’t change a thing!

Today, this moment, in this country is the greatest time to be alive in all of human history! Think about that. There has never been a time with such freedom, with such comforts, or with as many luxuries as right now! Let’s not lose prospective. Let’s not panic. . . The past is the past and the future is unwritten. Today is the only time we have. Let’s be bold! We all have not only the opportunity but the responsibility to make a positive impact on our families, friends, and communities. Never trade freedom for security, it is our time to lead!!

. . . because our time together has gone and will continue to go past in “A Wink of an Aye!”

COP: 20 SSH IC; 20 TTT IC; 22 Merkins IC; 35 Temp Squats IC; 20 Imperial Walkers IC; 20 LBAC IC; 20 LBAC Reverse IC. . .between each exercise 1 PAX left the COP and ran to the Coupon Pile and retrieved a paver before returning to the Circle. (#SocialDistancing)

Spork who is recovering from surgery and/or takes #SocialDistancing to an extreme, hopped on his mountain bike for next 40 minutes to get several miles in through the neighborhoods.

The remaining 5 PAX Mosey’d to large Parking Lot to drop off Brown Bag’s 1970 playlist for beatdown and mosey back to shovel flag to retrieve coupons. Each PAX remained 10 feet behind one another and 10 feet apart side to side. (#SocialDistancing)

Coupons were held overhead and taken to the large parking lot in similar style as the prior mosey. (#SocialDistancing)

NOTE: No coupons were shared during this beatdown and no PAX came within 10 feet of any other PAX. (#SocialDistancing)
