The Thang:

The normal climate has returned to the Grand Strand Region. At least for a little bit, and the 7 pax that showed up this morning took full advantage of it. With the 63 degree morning it allowed pax to to pull out thier shorts and t-shirts and shed the 10 pounds of extra clothes that we have been used to wearing for the past three months.

The Thing

No sandbags this week. Just rucks and running shoes.

We left the parking lot at the Hulk and headed over the bridge. The disclaimer was given here as well as the layout of this mornings work out.

Run 100 meters, then do 5 hand release merkins (HRM). After that walk back down the hill 50 meters

Run 100 meters to the 150 mark and do 5 squats. After that walk back down the hill 50 meters

Run 100 meters to the 200 mark and do 10 HRM, and walk back 50

Run to the 250 mark and do 10 squats, walk back 50

Run to the 300 mark and do 15 HRM, walk back 50 meters

Run to the 350 mark and do 15 squats, walk back 50 meters

Run to the 400 mark or to where the bridge begins, because YHC did not realize that the 400 mark is not painted, so 20HRM, and plank/hold Al Gore on the 6.

Once all pax finished we walked back down to the starting line for the 2nd round

The 2nd round would follow the first pattern as the first. This time however we would do Big Boy Sit-ups instead of HRM. This round was finished with 15 minutes left of the workout. A vast improvement from the first time I Q’d this workout. As discussed this was either do the pax getting stronger and faster, or not having to wear so many clothes made us more agile and mobile.

We walked back down to the starting line where YHC led some stretching, we don’t do enough of that, and we rucked back over the bridge to the cars. Where YHC prayed us out.

Total Distance 3.02 miles,

Total Reps 50 HRM, 50 Big Boy Sit-ups, 60 squats
