Workout Date:

QIC:

Texas Ranger

PAX:

Brown Bag, Beefsteak

The Thang:

AO: Village

Conditions: 71 and perfect

YHC showed up early to the AO as is my usual custom to check out the surroundings and make sure nothing was out of the ordinary, especially since we’ve been off for about 6 weeks! Once I remembered the code to get into the gate, everything looked about right, save for some of the grass was getting a little long, but overall not too bad. Since I still had about 25 min left until the beatdown, decided to get a couple of miles in for the #M3Challenge. I wasn’t planning on doing this May challenge that Brown Bag found after completing last month’s #TRSAC, but when Headgear asks you to be on his team, you can’t say no. Ran down to the water and back at a nice and easy warmup pace and got back to the AO with about 5 min to go time. Showed up to find ZERO cars… uh oh, hopefully Brown Bag didn’t kill everybody yesterday with the first Big Monday after some off time! Then right on cue, who was the first one to show up but the Nan’tan himself, quickly followed in by Beefsteak. Waited a few more minutes to see if we would get any late stragglers, but sadly no takers. That’s alright though as I told the guys that we were just strictly adhering to the Governor’s 3 man limit.

4 Corners Escalator:

I came up with this workout for Boxcar, since he texted me the day before and requested some running in the workout. We would do the exercise(s) at each corner, then head to the middle for a quick breather, but since we had the special request, today’s “breather” would be a crowd pleaser… SPRINTS! Of course, look who decided not to show up…

Each corner would start with 25 squats and 25 BBSU and we would add an exercise at each corner, but first… everybody on the line

We’ll start out easy to warm up… 50% down, 50% back, 75% down, 75% back

Merkins = 100 (An additional TRSAC was completed today with 100 merkins, 100 squats, 100 BBSU)
