Depends on who you ask… my watch said it was 50, cool and clear. Judging by what Sade’ was wearing it was 34 degrees #LayersOnLayers
Well its been a minute since I’ve even been to the Plank, let alone Q’d, but I’ve been making enough excuses that I finally decided to just suck it up and get back over there. Signed up to Q last month, right before the #1stFChallenge was announced, so it was a nice surprise to see some points available for Q’ing. Gonna need all the points I can get to keep Candy Cane from running away with this thing. Let’s try to make it interesting men!
Got to the AO a few minutes early to find Drifter, Candy Cane, and Tiny Dancer finishing up their 5k pre-run (where was Castaway?? I thought I saw he HC’d…)
1 Minute Warning
Finally joined by our last two PAX, Cyclone and Sade’ who had on more layers than yesterday, but surprisingly no mittens… although he did let us know that he strongly considered it, but he said “he thought that the guys might think it was overkill”. To be fair to the other pax, they didn’t think that the mittens were overkill… they thought the 14 other layers were a bit much though.

As an ode to #ElevationMonday, I figured we would start on the stairs. As everybody probably knows by now, there are four sets of stairs. Pretty simple, run up and walk down then take a couple of laps around the track (goal for me was to not die or give myself an asthma attack)
- Single Steps/Double Steps (i.e. skip a step)/Double Steps/ Single Steps
- Run 2 laps around the track
- LBC at the 50 yard line on the 6
Goal… half complete… I didn’t die at least
Head to the far goal line, time for some field work.
- 5 Merkins at each of the 5’s (5yd, 15 yd, 25 yd, etc) and 10 squats at each of the 10s (10, 20, 30, etc)
Grab a block and head back to the goal line
- 5 curls starting at the goal line, rifle carry ten yards, 5 curls, continue down the field
- 3 Tricep extension at the goal line, rifle carry ten yards, 3 tricep extension, continue down the field
Drop the blocks. Suicides
- Start with 2 hand release merkins at the goal line, run to the 10 yd line and back, 2 hand release merkins at the goal line, run to the 20 and back, 2 hand release merkins, continue down the field to the far goal line #SMOKED
Quick 10 count, finish up with 20 block swings OYO. Take the blocks back
