We had 6 runners and 5 different music selections tee’d up! Are people really getting tired of AC/DC?? Its a fanny pack tradition!!

We ran out of the Hulk along Frontage Rd B-2, and connected with the newly paved service road (NKA: Henry Road) that parallels Route 31 . Then through the Grande Dunes & up & over the Grande Dunes Bridge (2 x for some Pax). We then turned right and ran along Marina Parkway, then turned west on 71st Avenue until we reached the Intracoastal Waterway.  We ran the waterway until it intersected with the rear entrance of the YMCA parking lot. After  the parking lot we turned right once more onto the run path that passes along side the Barc Parc. We then turned right onto Bob Bell Run Path and accelerated up & over the Mt. Zeb Bridge until we reach Frontage Rd B-2 for our customary sprint back to the Hulk!

For some PAX this the biggest run they’ve run in months, for others it was the biggest run they’ve ever run!! Good times! All got Better.

I’m no sure what everyone else was listening to, but this is the AC/DC inspired song that kept running through my head as we ran!!

BIG RUNS

We’re not so fast or high sobriety

Nor God’s gift to Runners World notoriety

But we always do our best

The effort is never small

The Twittersphere says we have

The biggest runs of all!

We’ve got big runs

Sunday long runs,

They’ve got some runs

Fancy big runs

He’s got some runs

And she’s got some runs

But we got the biggest runs of them all!

The runs are always bouncing

From the Hulk, the Plank, & pre-runs, too

Everybody comes & comes again

If your name is on the guest list

Your HC is strongly desired

Everybody knows we’ve got

Great runs of fire!!

Some runs are ran for charity

Some for social quests

But when they’re run for pleasure

They’re the runs that we like best.

Our runs are always bouncing

From the west & to the east

It’s my belief that our big runs

Should never, ever cease!

We’ve got big runs

Sunday long runs,

They’ve got some runs

Fancy big runs

He’s got some runs

And she’s got some runs

But we got the biggest runs of them all!

And I’m just twitching to tell you about them

Oh we have such wonderful runs

The beach, the Boulevard, the waterway

. . . We’ve got the biggest runs of them all!!!

Time Called: 8:07:46

Distance: 7.10

Pace: 9:34

NMMS: 3 for Coffeteria or should we rename it “Bidets & Breakfast”

Quiet Time: Corinthians 9:24-26 . . . “Do  you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So . . . do not run aimlessly . . .”
