The Thang:

AO: Catapult

Conditions: High 70s and humid

When I signed up to Q at Catapult last month, I totally forgot about the Iron Pax Challenge. Then as August went on, the chatter across the nation started to heat up and here we are on the cusp of another September IPC. As customary, F3 Greenwood dropped the Week 0 workout on Sunday so that PAX across the nation can get acclimated to the type of workouts that will be part of the challenge as well as to stress test the scoring system to help iron out any kinks before the challenge officially starts. Since pretty much every single man from Catapult has signed up for this year’s IPC, it seemed like a good time to fit it in.

1 minute warning

Since I had done this workout before, I decided that it would be best for us to get a little warmup and some stretching before getting under way

10 Windmills IC

Quad Stretch IC

Mosey around the church to the front entrance where I staged the workout board.

Week Zero:

4 rounds for time of the following:

50 Air Squats

40 BBSU (I threw in a modifier of 80 LBCs since BBSU for the guys with back issues)

30 Merkins

20 Bonnie Blairs (2 count)

10 Burpees (supposed to be a burpee free zone at catapult, but hey.. I didnt come up with this workout)

400 m run (one lap around the church)

The average finishing time across the nation was around 32 min (when we started), every man finished with times ranging from 27:12 to 34:45. Great push by all!

Some stretches to finish it off.

Count-O-Rama: 6
