70’s NICE!

Flashback… On June 29, 2018, YHC showed up at The Village not knowing what to expect. YHC had been EH’d by Quaker months earlier but knee pain was the excuse at that time. Then it was Handy Manny’s turn to EH and the time was right. There were a bunch of guys standing around in a circle and Handy was like, “oops I forgot to tell you to bring gloves, here’s a pair for you”. Some dude they called Kitten was leading the workout and then 45 minutes later YHC was given the name – Brown Bag – and the Sad Clown syndrome has been forever gone.

Fast forward to today… June 29, 2019 YHC showed up at Bombsquad ready to Q an epic beatdown. YHC arrived at the AO at 0545 to drop off the world famous DJ equipment at the rec center and placed signs for a 6 station workout. YHC then parked the car while Gibbs, DR from Burlington was dismounting his bicycle. YHC had warned him the previous day that CF Blvd is not very cyclist friendly, but he did not heed the warning and rode out to Bombsquad from the Grande Dunes. YHC then proceeded to mosey around the AO for a quick warm up.

Getting back to the flag, YHC found El Red Cardo and Backdraft had joined Gibbs to round out the PAX count at 4. The 1-minute warning was given and at 0600 the disclaimer was given and the beatdown commenced like this:

Without warning, YHC called out Slaughter Starters!

20 Burpees OYO

20 TTT IC (YHC realized at this time that it’s extremely hard to call out cadence when one can’t breathe, LOL)

The exercises spelled out BROWNS in honor of my F3 name and well, the Browns are going to be really, really good this year too!

OK, back to the beatdown…

Next up we ran the lines and then finished out with a Jailbreak across the big parking lot.

Mosey’d back to the flag for a round of Mary.

We went around the horn 3x’s with an assortment of LBC’s, Flutters, Box Cutters (both forward and backward), Freddie Mercury’s, Pretzel Crunches and paired up Push-Downs. It wrapped up with 22 merkins and TIME was called.
