The Thang:

Conditions: Low 40’s perfect for a parking lot beat down.

At 5:15 YHC arrived to notice a parking lot with a few cars the Ruckers had already begun getting their work in.

Since no one decided to take me up on my pre run I decided to do a different style pre-run. Run a few miles run to the coupon pile bring coupons to the parking lot; repeat since I was banking on a big turn out. It turned out to be a great pre-workout except when my headlamp shined into a few homes that I didn’t know we’re so close to the back of the facility. Sorry for the bright light so early.

As the stage was set I decided to head back over to the flag to see if any early arrivals had shown. The ruckers were there; Quaker was bummed out about losing his pick flashlight on the pre-ruck. As we waited for the time to grow near I wondered who would post and who would let the fartsack when.

Lets Mosey to the Parking Lot of Pain

As we rounded the corner around the back of the facility someone said that’s a lot of coupons

We circled back up for a quick 22 merkins for our Vets.

THE THANG

Each pax get to a station and AMRAP. (The block pull or pallet sled worked out great for a timer as we all cheered this one on)

  • Log press station
  • Pallet sled (Get in the harness and pull the pallet down the parking lot and back)
  • Tire flip (thanks to Bluegrass we have another great tool to help with our beat downs)
  • Block pull (thanks to Craankbait. two blocks tied to a rope, sit on six and pull the length of the parking lot)
  • Farmers carry with the blocks down and back
  • Curls with the blocks
  • Tricep extensions with the blocks
  • Dips on the tires
  • Derkins on the tires

At the half way point we took a indian run break.

Back to work REPEAT ALL EXERCISES ABOVE except now Pallet sled run all the way around the parking lot.

5 minutes out we decided to start taking the coupons back to their home. We tried to load all the blocks on the pallet and pull it back. Not a good idea.

Moleskin:

  • As promised the day before I chose to not implement a run based Q. Always great to Q. I really enjoyed this one. I tried to bring a fun total body beat down for all to enjoy. As always we all got better this am.
