The Thang:

In these unprecedented times, even the smallest of return to normal is a huge victory. Today at WaveRucker he had such a victory as 6 pax gathered in the gloom to get back to enjoying the good life in a vary fair way. While the underlying theme of most Waverucker Q’s and beatdowns have a military/history theme to them, today was just about getting back out in the gloom with some weight on our backs.

The weather this morning was slightly muggy. The remnants of an overnight storm that constituted YHC getting a sever weather alert on his phone, but failing to deliver any shock and awe. However the power did go out to YHCs house, not because of a storm but because of Santee Cooper doing some line work. Lucky for YHC I was already on my way to the AO, needless to say the M was not happy.

The pax gathered in the parking lot at 810 bowling, due to the parking lot at the AO still being closed. The disclaimer was given and the Q was shared. The pax started out for our first lap around the lake. After our fist lap the pax took a rest and got some PT in. PT consisted of 3 rounds of 10 merkins, 10 BigBoy Situps, and 10 squats. The pax then completed our second lap. At our PT break we did 3 rounds of 10 shoulder to shoulder overhead press counting the left shoulder, 10 lunges, 25 4ct. flutter kicks. We then finished our third mile.

After the 3rd mile we finished out the parking lot. We finished with BOM and YHC had the honor of closing us in prayer.

It was great getting out and rucking as a group today. Some of you have been doing neighborhood rucks with fellow pax and it has been great to see. TCLAPS to Penelope for finally getting off of the IR list and coming out to a waverucker, as well as to Disconnect who denied to wear not just a ruck but ankle weights as well. Great job guys.
