The Thang:

So Valvano reached out yesterday and asked if anyone could cover his Q for him. Bling said that he might be able to. Apparently that was good for everyone else except Valvano who then put out another plea for someone to cover his Q. YHC said he could cover it but requested that pax meet at Doug Shaw instead of the Hulk. YHC also beseeched the pax to bring sandbags.

YHC arrived at Doug Shaw and found plenty of cars in the parking lot. My excitement quickly turned to a feeling of downheartedness and depression as YHC realized that none of them belong to any pax. YHC waited and waited and still no pax showed up. The lights came on at Doug Shaw and still no pax showed up. Just to give the pax the benefit of the doubt YHC waited till 0505 and still no pax showed up. Apparently roughly translated Substitute Q means nobody show up. Either that or Hose on Q means nobody show up.

Oh well might as well not waste this day and opportunity to get better.

Weather: Mild upper 70’s. Humidity so thick you could cut it with a knife. There was a slight breeze but it did little to replace the humidity. I’m sure if Bling would have showed up he would of beel yelling how soaking wet he is and probably would’ve died of dehydration and turned into a prune before the worm-up was done. And by warm-up I mean the walk from the cars to the track.

So the plan. Today was a Integrity and Fortitude Challenge.

The rules:

  1. Ruck stays on the whole time
  2. Every time your on a straightaway section of the track your are to mosey
  3. work past the finish line for every exercise

The workout:

  • place the sandbag at the goal line
  • move to the bleachers
    • hit every step going up and down on all for sections
  • mosey to the sandbag
    • full clean and squat with a sandbag throw
    • do this until you cross the 40 yard line
    • turn around and do bear-crawls with a sandbag drag making sure the sandbag is never more than arms reach away from you.
    • do this until you cross the goal line
  • Take a lap
    • remember to mosey the straightaways
  • Return to the bleachers
    • hit every step going up and down on the first three sections
    • walk to the far gate and get on the track
  • Mosey to the sandbag
    • repeat sandbag clean, squat and throw but this time only go until you cross the 30 yard line
    • continue with sandbag bear crawl drags back across the goal line
  • Take a lap
    • mosey the straightaways
  • Return to the bleachers
    • hit every step going up and down on the first two sections
    • walk to the far gate and get on the track
  • Mosey to the sandbag
    • Sandbag clean, squat and throws to the 20 yard line
    • bear crawl sandbag drag back to the goal line
  • Take a lap
    • mosey the straightaways
  • Bleachers
    • Every step up and down on the first section
    • wal to the far gate and get on the track
  • Mosey to the sandbags
    • Sandbag squat, clean and throw to the 10 yard line
    • sandbag bear crawl drags back to the goal line
  • Take a lap
    • mosey the straightaways

After that YHC did some stretching and called it a day.
