1 minute warning and disclaimer
Wow! When we decided to launch #ElevationMonday YHC was honestly somewhat skeptical. It had been an off-the-books ruck workout for a number of months, but we wanted all of the #HIM in F3GrandStrand to benefit from it, so we’d open it up to non-ruckers as well. Would non-ruckers post? Would it be possible to make a workout compatible for everyone? YHC still had these questions even pulling into the parking lot at Doug Shaw Stadium at 0452. Hoser, Lombardi, OneCall, Headgear and Bling – all expected regulars from the ElevationMonday ruck workouts – were spotted, but also High Interest, Texas Ranger, Boxcar, Skidmark, Skimmer, Kiwi, and Pikachu! So, the runners and a few less-regular ruckers showed, now we’d see if the workout would equally smoke the entire group…

We’d start on the bleachers (#ElevationMonday). There are 4 sets of stairs – each exercise is performed moving up the stairs, then walk back down and transition to the next set. (Movements across the bleachers will be listed as Bleacher1/Bleacher2/Bleacher3/Bleacher4)
Runners/Ruckers:
Single Steps/Double Steps/Double Steps/Single Steps
Run 2 laps/Ruck 1 lap
Single Steps/Double Steps + Squat/Double Steps + Squat/Single Steps
Run 2 laps/Ruck 1 lap
Ruckers were told to push the pace on the laps, which worked out well and all PAX finished close together. LBCs were done on the 50 yd line on the 6.

Slow walk to the goal line to catch our breath
Everyone would work their way to the opposite goal line as follows:
Ruckers: 4 Merkins at each of the 5’s (5yd, 15yd, 25yd, etc.) and 8 Squats at each of the 10’s (10yd, 20yd, 30yd, etc.)
Runners: 8 Merkins at each of the 5’s (5yd, 15yd, 25yd, etc.) and 12 Squats at each of the 10’s (10yd, 20yd, 30yd, etc.)
Some highly questionable squat form was noticed somewhere around the 50-yard line. Luckily, it was 0530 and the stadium lights flashed on, illuminating said form for all to see. (Quick soapbox: We’re our here to better ourselves, you vs. you every morning. Take the time to get your butt below your knees and not worry about finishing first.)
Up next: Suicides! (Hey, we’re on a football field…)
Rucks off, everyone line up on the goal line. 20 yard suicides. 1 burpee at each turn. (20, burpee, goal line, burpee, 40, burpee, goal line, burpee, etc.)
There was some heavy breathing here, so YHC asked for a 10 count from Headgear before we walked back towards the bleachers for a little more Elevation
Ruckers:
Overhead Carry/Left Farmer Carry/Right Farmer Carry
Run 1 lap (no ruck)
Overhead Carry/Left Farmer Carry/Right Farmer Carry

What an awesome morning! Thanks to all the #HIM for coming out and finding a little #Elevation at sea level! I’m pretty sure I know the answer to the second question rolling through my head, but will let the PAX speak for themselves – I was smoked! Next week OneCall is on Q as #ElevationMonday rotates to the Grande Dunes bridge. I’m already looking forward to the first non-rucker Q.
