After a late night of merriment at the 3rd Annual F3 Camping Extravaganza, YHC rolled into the AO to Find Out who else would be posting to today’s CoQ. The 1st Pax identified was none other than my CoQ, Rousey as he completed a warm-up mosey Around the AO, followed by a nimble-footed Elmers laying down an impressive pace, too.

As I watched the runners fade into the Gloom, I distributed 3 Cones in the large parking lot for later festivities. By the time I reached the Shovel Flags, Elmers & Rousey were joined by Rocky Top, Vitamin D, and 3 pre-runners: CrossStitch, Speed Bump, and ERC.

Because of F3 Camping & Candy Cane Qing TimeShare & taking Pikachu & Drifter with him this morning, YHC anticipated a slightly lighter crowd.

As we circled up and Rousey announced the 1 Minute Warning, Fly Over came in hot to complete our numbers.

After the COP, YHC recounted my F3 Journey from the moment I started “F”ing Around one Monday morning over 7 years ago when an almost complete stranger, Sunshine, came up to me (195lbs of SadClown) at the community pool and asked, “Do you workout?” . . .

”Yes, but not for a couple of years” . . .

”Great, you have to check out F3 . . .I’ll pick you up tomorrow morning at 5:15am!!!”

One random question was all it took!

Mosey  around the AO to the Block Pile. “What’s the plan?” Each Pax was instructed to grab 2 cinder blocks. “Its time to “F” Around and Find Out.”

 We farmer carried our 2 blocks to the Large Parking Lot, leaving one coupon in the southeastern corner. We then Rifle Carried the 2nd block to the back corner of the Shovel Flag Lot. We then mosey’d to the southern end of the Front Lot.

10 minutes left . . . we gathered up the 1st Block and Rifle Carried it to the 2nd Block. We then Farmer Carried both Blocks back to the Coupon Pile.

We Circled Up back at the Shovel Flags and Rousey took over for a Q-Source/Bible Verse

Rousey reminded each Pax that we need each other (no lone wolf). 2 Pax together can weather a storm, but 3 or more Pax (Shield Lock) is the strongest defense & protection from internal and/or external trials. The bonds that are made in the Gloom go far beyond a bunch of guys working out.

Individual Stretching while Rousey recapped his F3 journey:

Rousey was introduced to F3 while he was living in Charlotte, NC but never came to workout. A year later his family moved to Myrtle Beach and he met YHC at a rec basketball league that our boys were playing together in. Fast forward another 6 months (no ongoing contact since the basketball season ended) and he receives a text from YHC out of the blue that explains F3 & invites him into the Gloom. That’s all it took (2 years and a random text) & Rousey has been “F”ing Around ever since!!
