It was 48 degrees when I rolled into the Village parking lot ahead of the rest of the PAX. My older 2.0 (F3 nickname “Cheetah”) has a birthday this Friday, so I told him I would lead a workout using the date of this birthday (12-7-18) and some of his favorite exercises. At 5:29, I gave the one-minute warning, followed by the disclaimer at 5:30.
COP:
20 ssh ic
20 ttt ic
20 windmills ic
20 Imperial walkers ic
21 forward arm circles ic and 20 reverse arm circles ic (I lost count on the forward arm circles)
20 goof balls ic
22 merkins oyo
Indian run around the perimeter of the Village
The Thang:
I borrowed an idea from a workout High Interest led at the Village a few weeks ago. We divided into groups of three (or four), and each group had a coupon. One group member repeated a pattern of 12 curls, 7 triceps extensions, and 18 overhead presses, while the other two partners moseyed around the perimeter all the way past the basketball court. Once there, one partner stopped and repeated a pattern of 12 2-count mountain climbers, 7 burpees, and 18 big boys. The other partner continued moseying around the perimeter until he reached the first partner. Once everyone got to do all three stations twice each, we moseyed over to the front parking lot.
Three of Cheetah’s favorite exercises are dips, flutter kicks, and running. So we closed out the workout by doing 20 dips ic, sprinting from the parking lot to El Red Cardo’s car, 20 flutter kicks ic, sprinted back to the front parking lot, 20 dips ic, and sprinted back to El Red Cardo’s car. At this point, it was 6:15, and time was called.
