Kitten, Reborn, Scout (for about 5 1/2 minutes)The Thang:
This was the most beautiful fall day for a workout. This was also a textbook example of how F3 encourages the kind of accountability that gets us to improve ourselves in ways we wouldn’t if we were attempting this stuff by ourselves.
As we neared 7:30, there was no one in sight for the workout. I tried to EH a few potential FNG’s to no avail. As the clock hit 7:30, I thought about leaving. But I knew Reborn had planned to be there. One of the guys I had tried to EH actually went into Reborn’s room and woke him up. And then, Reborn actually got out of bed, put on workout clothes, and came outside for a shortened workout. I wouldn’t have stuck around if not for him. And he wouldn’t have come out if not for me. Pretty cool stuff.

The Thang:
Reborn and I partnered up for some Dora (with a lot of upper body work since all this half-marathon training has taken away the little bit of upper body strength I had): 100 merkins, 200 dips, 300 alternating shoulder taps. As we finished up our shoulder taps, Scout made his usual last-minute cameo.
The three of us ended with a few rounds of Mary.
Announcements: Reborn did his VQ last Saturday. He has stepped up to Q again this coming Saturday. Please come out and support him!
Prayers: Reborn lifted up a friend named Kent who needs prayers in a difficult time. Scout lifted up a friend of his who is struggling, too. Prayers, too, for the other men at the shelter. There were two potential FNG’s (Andrew and Dan) who said they want to come out, but that posting for the first time has been a challenge. Pray for them to get over that hump, so that they will be able to get out to their first workout and get in the habit.
