JudeeChop – The Return #8

JudeeChop – The Return #8

Workout Date:

The Thang:

Conditions: 80s with a little humidity.

Last week YHC taught an empty hand gun self defense segment to Podcast who picked up both the techniques and the concepts.  We then ended with high percentage Hapkido locks that QIC indicated that we would go back over this Saturday.  Scheduling conflicts on YHC’s side prevented us from posting normally at #BombSquad, and it worked out best to post at #Warthog.  #JC from 6 – 7 and then post at the regular bootcamp with Studebaker on Q — awesome!

Podcast picked up YHC, status of life exchanged in transit and we rolled into the #WH AO at 5:50.

We then worked on the following locks:

1. Wrist lock

2. Arm bar

3. Hammer lock

4. Center lock

5. Variations on all 4 locks.

6. Entries from hand trapping.

Studebaker rolled up and we used him briefly as Uke for Podcast to work his locks with YHC watching.  Studebaker in pain; Podcast smiling.  Various PAX began arriving and YHC & Podcast ended the super secret #JC session.

Glad to have an opportunity to refresh myself on these locks and their versatility.

Honor to Q!

Hapkido is a highly eclectic Korean martial art. It is a form of self-defense that employs joint locks, grappling, and throwing techniques similar to those of other martial arts, as well as kicks, punches, and other striking attacks.
