The Thang:

Conditions: Freezing, still and bright (but not Plant bright), thanks to the full moon.

With YHC pulling three Qs in 14 days, I decided to look back at some past backblasts for some inspiration. Pulled into the AO a bit before 4:45 and put up the shovel flag before joining Judge Judy in some pre-run fun, putting in 2.3 miles with Skinner joining in for the last lap. Crabs was waiting for us when we got back to the flag and we had just enough time to catch our breath before giving the one-minute warning. With O’Douls under the weather, Spork down with Covid and Candy Cane and Pikachu representing at The Plank, I wasn’t too surprised by the light turn out. I’m sure the “feels like” being less than 30 didn’t help either.

Mission Statement and disclaimer properly executed, we began.

These were harder than anticipated, so pivoted to break it up with a second superset to give the arms and chest a bit more recover time.

YHC prayed us out with special words for Spork and O’Douls.

Small, but great group of men braved the cold today and I hope I gave them more than their money’s worth. I know they certainly gave me the extra push to get better.

* with the talk on the group text of the Rocky movies, there was no way we could escape today without some Rocky Balboa action…
