The Thang:

Had expected it to be cold after yesterday’s frigid beatdown at Catapult, but it was merely chilly in the 50s with a steady breeze. Unfortunately, it started to rain right around 5, starting light and picking up enough that I opted to move us under the stadium stairs to begin. Had to improvise a little bit as my original plan relied heavily on the football field, but the general gist of the workout was fairly close to what I’d had planned out. Missed the one minute warning and went straight into mission statement/disclaimer.

A quick round of suicides, stops at approximately 15, 30 and 45 yards.

20 BBSU followed by a Crabwalk ~ 30 yards, followed by 20 2 count Crabcakes, Crabwalk backwards to start line.

20 Merkins followed by a Bear Crawl ~ 30 yards, followed by 20 Carolina Dry Docks, Crawl Bear back to start line.

Ventured out to do a lap around the field and decided the rain had slacked off enough to stay out (it wasn’t exactly dry under the stadium anyway)

1st and 10. Starting at the 10 yard line, complete 1 Burpee and 10 Merkins, run to opposite goal line and mosey back to the 20 where the count changed to 2 Burpees and 9 Merkins. This continued until reaching the goal line and performing 10 Burpees and 1 Merkin.

Mary

Castaway led a round of LBCS and Pretzel Crunches while YHC went to retrieve his phone for Name-O-Rama. Led one round of Flutter’s to finish out Mary.

Count-O-Rama

Name-O-Rama (where it was pointed out that YHC was the oldest in attendance, making me feel slightly better for being the 6 for the better part of my own Q)

FNG Nick Pirrone came into the circle and gave us some background on himself, including how he was a civilian for 12 hours between the leaving the Marines and joining the Army and his experience with CS gas during his final training march and earned the moniker of Double Duty.
