The Thang:

AO: Catapult

Conditions: 50s and a little damp, but not bad

Well after 10 Qs in the month of December, I was beat. I was planning on taking the entire month of January off from leading workouts, but as I was looking at the Q sheet to start planning February I saw an opening at Catapult on the last day of the month… so I figured I could start February a day early. I wasn’t sure how many PAX would show up. I put a message on Slack that I was on Q and heard nothing but crickets, so I honestly thought it was going to be a light crowd. But as I got to the AO, I found Boxcar getting after it with a pre-run and then the PAX started rolling in, 7.. then 9… then ended with a lucky number 13. I asked if Catapult was still a moderate workout and Crabs quickly responded that “it stopped being moderate a looooongg time ago”… well ok then.

  • 20 SSH IC (since this isn’t a moderate workout, I’m going to treat it like a regular one that starts with the customary SSH)
  • 1 Merkin OYO
  • 20 Hairy Rockettes (its still Catapult though)
  • 2 Merkin OYO
  • 15 TTT IC
  • 10 Windmill IC
  • 3 Merkins OYO
  • 20 IW IC
  • 4 Merkins OYO
  • LBAC x 15 IC
  • LBACR x 15 IC
  • Seal Claps x 15 IC

Indian Run around the AO and finish at the flag

The Pain Train– Starting at the Flag, we will progress through 5 stations stopping at every station for burpees (you must stop on the way there AND the way back).

  • Every round starts with 5 squats at the Flag
  • Mosey to Station 1 and do 1 Burpee, mosey back to the flag
  • Squats, 1 Burpee at Station 1, 2 Burpees at Station 2, 1 Burpee at Station 1
  • Squats, 1 Burpee at Station 1, 2 Burpees at Station 2, 3 at Station 3, 2 at Station 2, 1 Burpee at Station 1
  • Rinse and repeat until you get to Station 5

Mosey to the Block Pile

Mini Pain Train

  • Same concept but this time 15 curls instead of Squats and 10 block swings at each station (3 stations total)

Mosey back to the Block Pile
