The Thang:

Muggy again.  82 degrees

Bling and I have signed up to Q every AO over the next 3 weeks.  Just sharing the love we have, bringing some #OldSchool stuff back, playing some rocking tunes, and seeing awesome dudes!!!!!

The #OldSchool #WaveRucker started, as Valvano reminded us, with a 45 minute ruck with NO sandbags.  Then a 45 minute PT fest of pain.  So….that’s what we did.  About 50 minute ruck at a pretty quick pace.  It was great to catch up with Fergie who we haven’t seen in a while and will be the next #Warthog AOQ and will move the start time back to the proper 0515, and Runway with his first time rucking training for some 100 mile ultra in Vermont where he figured he needed to do some hill training.  They say Vermont has some mountains or something.  Hoser of course rounding us out for 5 PAX.  After the ruck and great fellowship, we got our sandbags situated for the PT –

As we all know, 13 Service Members died in Afghanistan the other day.  There was no justifiable reason for this whatsoever.  Simply lack of any form of leadership and no accountability from these supposed leaders.  Regardless, Bling and I modified our initial #OldSchool plan to honor these young men and women.

Here Are The 13 U.S. Service Members Killed In Kabul : NPR - CBNC

These were the 13 exercises we did 13 reps each of:
Skull Crushers
Bench press
Bent Over Rows
Diamond Merkins
4 Count Flutters IC
Jump Squats
Toss Overs

Made it through 3 solid rounds in 36 minutes.  Finished with Bling’s STRONG devotion

As Fergie said to us – “the ages of the men and women on the list was striking”.  Take a look.  These are kids.  That died unnecessarily.  Think about who you listen to and what things you might blindly follow.  There are consequences.  These men and women had to pay the ultimate sacrifice because of this.  We are supposed to be leaders.  Will we lead when it matters?  I know my F3 Brothers will.  And for that I am thankful.
