A little over four hours after falling asleep following the College Football National Championship, I found myself at the Village parking lot. Since I earned my F3 nickname because of an assumed disdain for Clemson, I thought I would use the workout to have a little fun with the final score of Clemson’s 44-16 demolition of Alabama. At 5:29, I gave the one-minute warning, followed by the disclaimer at 5:30.
After the disclaimer was given, we ran a warm-up lap around the AO. Upon returning to the shovel flag, our COP consisted of:
44 ssh ic
16 hand-release merkins oyo
44 flutter kicks ic
16 mountain climbers ic
44 plank jacks ic
16 lbc’s ic
Following one more warm-up lap around the AO, we launched into The Thang:
44 ssh oyo, run the long way around the parking lot to the brick pile, do 16 ssh oyo while holding a brick in each hand, put the bricks down, and run the long way around the parking lot back to where we started. Plank on the 6.
We repeated this exact pattern of 44 reps, run to bricks, 16 reps with bricks, run back to start, and plank with each of the following exercises:
Squats
Merkins
Big Boys
Burpees (ouch!)
American hammers
Since we were already at the brick pile and had one-minute left, we closed by doing 16 overhead presses ic with bricks, put the bricks away, and moseyed back to the flag.
Upon reaching the flag at 6:15, time was called. We reminded each other of some upcoming 3rd F opportunities and then prayed it out. When we left, everyone might not have felt exactly the same way, but they all knew what the final score of the national championship was.
