What’s behind door number 2?

Workout Date:

El Red Cardo, Abercrombie, Jingles (Respect), Brown Bag (Respect), Beefsteak, Boxcar, Ralph Lauren (visiting Pax - F3 Shelby), and Quaker (AOQ)

The Thang:

Conditions: 80s, warm and humid…but no rain!

YHC signed up to Q this morning’s bootcamp during coffeteria this past Saturday at #Warthog (btw. great co-Q bootcamp!).  I then texted One-Call and Quaker later that evening saying that my knee was sore from posting Friday & Saturday and backed out.  It was ailing yes (and icing it), but YHC was more frustrated than anything.  Then the next morning I woke, morning devotion, got my mind & spirit right with God and funny thing took back the Q!  #oldman vs. #newman.

Our visiting Pax Ralph Lauren (aka PT machine) reminded me that this was week 1 of the “Iron Pax” challenge and would I give Pax choice of doing that instead of the originally planned “weinke”.  I said sure.  #Hardcore those F3 Shelby guys!

I rolled into the AO, saw Pax already assembling, said a few hellos, opened my trunk and got out my 70lb bucket and mystery weinke written on a mini grease-board.  9 Pax assembled.  1-minute warning.

Hello, welcome to F3, mission, disclaimer and a quick update on YHC’s travels to different AOs (#The Vet – F3 Mint Hill, NC and #Yorktown – F3 Arlington, VA) emphasizing that the unique F3 spirit and camaraderie was present whether you were south or north of the Mason-Dixon line.  F3 Arlington part of F3 The Capital just launched, great bunch of #HIMs, so post if your travels bring you to DC!

Who wants door #1 weinke consisting of this week’s Iron Pax WOD?  Stares.  Ralph Lauren passed saying he will do it later this week plus we didn’t have a confirmed 400 meter loop for him to run.  You mean you have to run in the Iron Pax?!?!  I guess that means mystery weinke behind door number 2, board turned over, smiles & some groans and off we went…

Warm Up:

IC 15 – 20 reps. of SSHs, TTTs, Windmills and Imperial Walkers.

OYO 22 Merkins

Door Number 2 Weinke:

*Each Pax completes the entire list; however, exercises could be broken down in sets done in any order.  Just get after it!  YHC grabbed the bucket and got that crap done first.

  1. 40 Burpees
  2. 2 rounds of appx. 40 yard bucket carry
  3. 50 BBSUs
  4. 75 Squats
  5. 75 2ct. American Hammers
  6. 30 Jump Squats
  7. Run 2 laps around church
  8. 60 Merkins
  9. Pax waited until all were finished with 1 – 8.  Then we did an 11 with LBCs and CDDs; the travel to each exercise was a 10 yard bearcrawl (on at least one of the lengths).

Time!  Shirts wet.  Shoulders smoked.  PAX breathing heavily.  Bucket indentations in PAX forearms.

Count-O-Rama 9
Praise report/Prayer requests: Spoken (Rubber’s mother and 2.0 of recently visiting Pax who is battling cancer) and unspoken.
BOM by Beefsteak.

Check out F3 Grandstrand regional website, Slack messages and Twitter posts for daily updates and information.  Lombardi has scored us free tickets to Pelican’s baseball game later this month.  Post (or better yet Q!) at the new mission AO (New Directions); see Kitten for details.  Iron Flag.  F3 Grandstrand patch challenge.  Lots of opportunities to get better!

NMMS: Honor to Q!  Had a blast working out with you guys today!  Everyone was determined to complete this beatdown!

Hebrews 10:25 The Message (MSG)

22-25 So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.
