The Thang:

Knowing we have a ton of #HIM in the region preparing for #GrowRuck22, YHC decided to plan a ruck/coupon-friendly Q and announced such on Twitter and Slack.  GORUCK/GrowRuck events are more than just carrying heavy items for long distances – they typically start with a “Welcome Party”, which tends to be similar to our bootcamps … just longer and with a ruck on.

YHC pulled into the immaculate Forbus Ct parking lot at 0505 and found Flash already out of the car stirring around.  YHC stayed in the warmth for a few more minutes as Headgear and the Plantation Lakes #clowncar rolled up.  All climbed out and started to ruck up, 1 minute warning was given and Disclaimer was started as a minivan was seen heading down Forbus.  PAX: “Can’t be Bubbles – he’s always early, must be Spinal Tap”.  Turns out, Bubbles decided to stay in the #fartsack until 0505 either ensuring the rain held off or hoping it would start so he’d have an excuse.  He hopped out, rucked up as well, and we all headed to the parking deck.

Ruck up and Partner up for DORA:
Starting at the elevator: P1 performs excercise, P2 rucks to the top of the first incline and back
100 Burpees, 200 ruck curls, 300 squats

YHC quickly realized that these numbers were pretty ambitious, but decided to keep quiet and enjoy all of the grumbling over the burpees for a few rounds.  Each pair made it to around 80, then YHC called to move on to curls (and modify down to 150).  Still too ambitious!  We made it to around 100 curls before YHC called to head towards the flag.  Ruck to the bridge, then mosay back to the flag.  Luckily, we all made it with 4 minutes to spare, so there was time for the squats we missed out on.  4 minutes of AMRAP squats and fellowship to finish of the morning.
