The Thang:

YHC arrived at Warthog for a little recon run around the grounds and saw a bunch of vehicles already there.  Typically there are 2 or 3.  Today there were a lot more than that.  After getting parked and while putting my shoes on, I heard some familiar sounds of pain coming from the track infield.  I could see a ruck or two up in the air and decided I wanted no part of that.  So I got my usual couple miles in and decided where to set up the bootcamp shop.

Weather: nice, damp, distant lightning

1 minute warning, intro, disclaimer, circle up for some:

 

  • 20x SSHs IC
  • 20x IMPERIAL WALKERs IC
  • 20x LBACs IC (10 forward, 10 reverse)
  • 20x SQUATs IC

 

Mosey to the parking lot near Meyers Avenue.  Find a spot on the south curb for some:

 

  • 20 FLUTTERKICKs to get us started

 

Starting at the south curb, do the burpee exercise, run to the north curb, do flutterkicks until everyone arrives, do the squat exercise, run to the south curb, do flutterkicks until everyone arrives, repeat with these modified OYO reps of:

 

  • 10 BURPEEs with 1 MERKIN in the middle, right hand on the curb
  • 10 SQUATs with 1 OVERHEAD PRESS while “seated”, jump on/off curb in between
  • 9 BURPEEs with 2 MERKINs in the middle, left hand on the curb
  • 9 SQUATs with 2 OVERHEAD PRESSs while “seated”,  jump on/off curb in between
  • 8 BURPEEs with 3 MERKINs in the middle, right hand on the curb
  • 8 SQUATs with 3 OVERHEAD PRESSs while “seated”,  jump on/off curb in between
  • 7 BURPEEs with 4 MERKINs in the middle, left hand on the curb
  • 7 SQUATs with 4 OVERHEAD PRESSs while “seated”, jump on/off curb in between
  • 6 BURPEEs with 5 MERKINs in the middle, right hand on the curb
  • 6 SQUATs with 5 OVERHEAD PRESSs while “seated”, jump on/off curb in between
  • 5 BURPEEs with 6 MERKINs in the middle, left hand on the curb
  • 5 SQUATs with 6 OVERHEAD PRESSs while “seated”, jump on/off curb in between
  • 4  BURPEEs with 7 MERKINs in the middle, right hand on the curb
  • 4 SQUATs with 7 OVERHEAD PRESSs while “seated”, jump on/off curb in between
  • 3 BURPEEs with 8 MERKINs in the middle, left hand on the curb
  • 3 SQUATs with 8 OVERHEAD PRESSs while “seated”, jump on/off curb in between
  • 2 BURPEEs with 9 MERKINs in the middle, right hand on the curb
  • 2 SQUATs with 9 OVERHEAD PRESSs while “seated”, jump on/off curb in between
  • 1 BURPEE with 10 MERKINs in the middle, left hand on the curb
  • 1 SQUAT with 10 OVERHEAD PRESSs while “seated”, jump on/off curb in between

With some time remaining we finished up with some:

 

  • Partner up back on the south curb.  Do 100 CALF RAISEs each OYO.
  • On your 6 for some leg lifts – straight out, up, out , up, out, wide out.
  • Partner up back on the south curb.  Do 100 CALF RAISEs each OYO.
  • On your 6 for some leg lifts – straight out, up, out , up, out, wide out.
  • Partner up back on the south curb.  Do 30 CALF RAISEs each OYO.

Mozing back to the shovel flag took us to the 45 minute mark.  The 9 bootcampers were greeted by the 6 ruckers who had done some ruck work followed by a 4 mile trek.
