We can do everything, except lift bleachers

Workout Date:

Quaker (AOQ), Skidmark, Bluegrass, Buford-T, Buffet, Goldberg and Whittle

The Thang:

Conditions: 49 degrees with little wind.

YHC saw an opportunity to Q while driving back from out of town.  I was looking forward to being back with family, friends and F3 brothers from being out of pocket for a few weeks.

YHC rolled into the AO parking lot a little early to warm up his knee and also to take a look at 2 sets of reportedly easily portable metal bleachers to be moved from the church’s football field to the baseball fields since the season was starting.  They were stout.  YHC lifted the behemoths and manhandled them to the requested location.  While I’d like to believe that, I surmised (after struggling to move one of the sets a mere foot) that this was going to be too much not knowing how many PAX were posting and if it was going to take the entire workout time to get it done.  After explaining it to the other PAX, they agreed too.  Quaker offered up up a physics/leverage base solution that none of us could comprehend.  Reportedly a crew with the right set of equipment (moving dollies) completed the job later.  #QICwasweaktoday.

The other PAX rolled in until we had 8 #HIM.  YHC decided on a double dose of DORA style circuits (incorporating his 70 lb bucket) as the lion’s share of today’s workout.

1 Minute warning.

Welcome to F3, disclaimer, mission and we got busy…

Warm Up:

IC 20-25 reps. of : SSH, TTTs, Windmills, IWs, and LBACs forwards & back.

OYO: 10 Burpees.

PAX via a modified Bataan Death March (BDM) traveled to the church ballfield concession stand area.  The BDM is basically an Indian Run, but with a march.  And in this case the last person did 3 LBCs (while the others marched) picked up the bucket, brought it to the new last person and then made his way to the front.  Rinse & repeat (RR) until we made it to the concession stand area.

Circuit 1: Partner 1/P1 does 10 Burpees while partner 2/P2 planks; swap out until total number of Burpees is 60.

Circuit 2: (switch partners/SP): P1 does 1 minute Wall-Sit while P2 does Big Boy Sit-Ups, swap out until total time of Wall-Sits is 6 minutes.

Circuit 3: (SP): P1 does 25 Scorpion dry-docks while P2 does Flutter Kicks, swap out until total number of SDD is 150.

Circuit 4: (SP): P1 does 25 Squats while P2 does Flutter Kicks, swap out until total number of Squats is 150.

Pax then BDM to the football field.

Circuit 1: Partner 1 does Merkins while P2 runs across the width of the field and back, switches exercises with P1, RR until total number of Merkins is 100.

Circuit 2: Same format as above, but with 200 LBCs.

Circuit 3: Same, but with 300 Squats.

PAX also took turns walking the bucket across the field during the circuit adding to the difficulty level.  Great job men!

YHC had one more turn with the bucket.  In tandem, YHC had Quaker (as AOQ) lead a round of Flutter Kicks until he returned.

With 4 minutes left, YHC wrapped up with mobility-stretching exercises.

Count-O-Rama – 8
Prayer requests spoken (Etch-a-sketch’s hip) & unspoken; guidance and strength for all #HIM.

Moleskin: Great work today men!  Great camaraderie and #mumblechatter!  Also, enjoyed Hoedown’s devotion this morning at Warthog and am still reflecting on which “A”s I tend to drift into and how I can lean/trust/walk out my faith to avoided straying.  Enjoy your Resurrection Sunday men!
