My second Q was much more manageable than the first. I was actually able to stick with the plan instead of changing on the fly!
Weather was good, perfect temperature and low humidity.
It looked as if we’d only have three, but about 30 seconds before starting, ERC, Texas Ranger, and Rubber made a grand appearance.
Started with the usual round of warmups… in no particular order:
15 SSH
15 High Knees
15 LBAC (Forward and Reverse)
15 Cherry Pickers
15 Windmills
15 Imperial Walkers
A quarter mile lap around the track and to the coupon pile.
From there — some four corner action starting at home team sideline/goal line.
1st corner: Ten squat thrusters with the coupon
Carry the coupon to opposite sideline…
2nd corner: Ten squat thrusters with the coupon, 20 burpees, or blockees. PAX decision.
Carry the coupon 100 yards to opposite goal line…
3rd corner: Ten squat thrusters, 20 burpees, or blockies. PAX decision. 30 curls.
Carry the coupon to opposite sideline…
4th corner: Ten squat thrusters, 20 burpees, or blockies. PAX decision. 30 curls, and 40 LBCs with coupon on chest.
Sunshine called it from corner two to corner three… his back was feeling squirrelly (one L or two Ls? I’m going with two)… and sure enough… it went out on him during the burpees at corner four, but he kept moving throughout the rest of the workout.
Another quarter mile lap around the track, Sunshine walked — some planked up on the six, some others picked up the six.
Next were some calf raises. It’s not often we work on calves — so… we all lined up on the home stairs for 100 OYO calf raises. From there, three step ups on each bench followed by three tricep dips on each bench.
Return the coupons.
Name-0-rama (forgot my phone so no video…)
Announcements: Spartan Race, Freed to Bleed, Sasquatch, some AO time changes (see Slack for details).
Praise reports: Texas Ranger’s son has a birthday today
Prayer requests: Tiny Dancer’s family after losing their patriarch, those with injuries, and those silent men who don’t ask for prayers. Texas Ranger prayed us out
Thanks to all those who showed up! I’m glad I didn’t have to change plans on the fly, and TBH… I’m rarely sore after a beatdown… but my legs are achin’ as I type this.
YHC, Burgundy.
