Celebration of Life!

Celebration of Life!

Workout Date:

Karma, Burgundy, TinyDancer, Surf n Turf, Bob the Builder, Bodet, Cyclone, Swiper.

The Thang:

The day started at 4:30 a.m.  I showed up early and starting running around the track to get warmed up.  To my surprise Tiny Dancer showed up about 5 and we both ran with 20lb vests to get warm around the track. About 1 mile.

The Thang:

5:15 we started on time.  Did some good stretching and then we got into it.  I decided that since Tiny Dancer was having a service for his dad that day it was a perfect opportunity to pay respect to his dad and workout in honor of him.  I started by going through some important facts about his dad and introducing who his dad was to the PAX that never had the great fortune of meeting him.  After announcing the time of the service for his dad and location that day we got into the workout.

Run 1 mile

50 pull ups

200 squats

150 push ups

100 block swings

100 dying cockroaches

run 1 mile again

Name O Rama and count off were done.  Discussed how lucky we were to be working out and working out each morning is a celebration of life in itself.  Announcements done and prayed us out. Prayed for Tiny Dancer and his family.

All PAX did a great job.  I decided to wear my 20lb vest the whole time and I am now paying the price 2 days later.  Not sure what I was thinking. Thanks to the Oyster boys for coming out.

Mr James Lamb Hills Sr., was a great person and I appreciated the short time(5 years or so) that I knew him.  He was kind, intelligent, quiet, and always seemed to be pondering something when I saw him.  I am sorry for Tiny Dancers loss and I know he is at peace now and that is helpful.  I also know that I and the rest of the PAX are here for him for whatever he should need to help him get through this difficult time.  R.I.P. Mr. Hills!
