What a glorious day!  54, slightly cool, but the excitement of a holiday themed beatdown was clearly present!!

YHC celebrated his 45th birthday Friday, which also happened to be Quaker’s bday!  #Soulmates, and I took this Q as soon as March opened up.   Quaker wound up Q’ing #BombSquad – what a coincidence.  [side note: Neither of us saw High Interest].  I didn’t even think about St. Paddy’s Day at the time I took the Q, but when I went to write the #Weinke – weeks in advance of course – the whole idea changed!!!  Let’s make it rocking, music, fun, and themed!!!

A few weeks ago my dear friend Pinto from Mooresville and I were able to coordinate a visit for him and I knew I really had to turn up the heat on the beatdown to make his trip worthwhile.  Friday, I sent out a slew of texts to potential FNG’s, #Kotters, and some others to get some strong numbers…and YHC was not disappointed.  Handrail HC’d and it was awesome to see him back in the fold..and bringing an FNG!!!  Baywatch, another good friend who’s schedule rarely allows him to post, also HC’d!  He made everything look easy.  Had a semi-HC from Snookie, but he failed to show.   Also, Shake N Bake semi-HC’d, but then didn’t show.  Still having knee problems, but he committed to Q’ing a poker tournament so be on the look out for news on that!  If you are reading this Shake – 1. We got Rousey and Flop to join you in the #KneeProblem Group.  2. Poker.  Do it.

Bling, Hoser, and Flop prerucked 10 miles or thereabouts starting at 0400, or actually later as Bling who told Flop not to be late, was late!  YHC, Pinto, Valvano, Lombardi, Geno, Podcast, Rousey, Dabo, and Butterfingers got in 4 miles and it was great to ruck and fellowship with these men.   Also, got Star Course team # 2 started with Geno and Lombardi giving a HC.  3 more men.  Let’s go!

Everyone rucking got back to the start point and starting stripping layers and hydrating.  We saw Whittle there, by his truck…Bluegrass – wasn’t he supposed to show quite a bit earlier??  Studebaker walking around telling us ruckers that we get up too early (wait, you’re a rucker too!)  Franklin being the chick magnet he always is…or at least his shirt said so.

Mosey to Valor Park, LBC’s on the 6; On way scream and hollar at everyone we passed as we blasted Irish music

Once in Valor Park, the 4 leaf clover circuits were to begin.  Start in middle, do 7 reps of each exercise.  Run to 1 of the clovers, marked by some “authentic’ Blarney Stones [from my garden] with the exercises listed on them.  Do 7 reps of each exercise.  Run back to the middle, exercises, next clover, exercises, etc.  On and on and on for 25 minutes.  YOU versus YOU.  Push yourself hard!!  Or lay on a bench – which is fine if you are hurting bad and already rucked 10 miles.  Or lay on the grass next to the guy who is laying on the bench if you are Geno.  #Fellowship.  There was also a group of 3 dudes taking it easy post surgery.  Well, 1 of them was post surgery; the other 2 were just sympathetic?  Here’s the pretty design:

Leaping Leprechauns – Start at pillar 1, do 1 burpee, Broad jump (not bunny hop) to the next pillar, do 2 burpees, etc..until you reach the 10th pillar at the end where you of course do 10 burpees.  Appreciate Bling making sure there were 10 pillars.  Butterfingers killed these, along with Baywatch.  Franklin and YHC were neck and neck and getting tired…and after pillar 5, YHC said we were halfway there….Franklin spouted some exponential explanation and we kept working!
