One word: The “Mothership!” The hype is real! Leaders are being forged at Warthog on a daily basis! The Old Guard is constantly cultivating & grooming the newer PAX and it shows. The mumble chatter is strong & encouraging and the fitness level of the PAX is through the roof!

The spin doctors were hard at work the night before on the Twitter & promised an ‘epic’ beatdown by yours truly (Hamburglar & his Mustachio set a high bar). . . .The Question was: could YHC deliver?

There were 7 PAX strong when YHC arrived at the 5 minute warning & the mumble chatter laid heavy in the cool air like smoke from a cannon blast.

Some PAX know me but to others I am a ghost. Today was a day to put the faces with the names I read about weekly in the BackBlasts! PAX like Karma, Cotton Candy, Snips & Fergie! It was a day to deliver the requested pain to PAX like Disconnect, Headgear & BackDraft. And it was a day to gauge ones mettle against PAX like Hamburglar, Bubbles & Wolverine. As the PAX kept rolling in, the expectations continued to grow; Taking the reigns of the Mothership is not for the faint of heart. Could YHC deliver a mid-week beatdown worthy of the Warthog PAX? Read on to find out!!

At each parking line (every 9 feet according to Pikachu – See B.B. “All 9’s”) each PAX would do a Burpee then sprint back to the Start. At the start we would sprint 2 parking lines & do another Burpee then sprint back to the start . . . etc . .  .etc until reaching the 20th Parking line.

Mosey to the Parking Deck

Ascending UnderQuakers

12 PAX lined up shoulder to shoulder on the ground level of the Parking Garage. PAX 1 calls an exercise for 2 reps, then sprint/fast mosey up to 1st turn on parking deck, then PAX 1 leads his exercise for 2 reps & PAX 2 calls an exercise for 4 reps to lead. Run/fast mosey to next turn going up. PAX 1 leads his exercise for 2 reps, then PAX 2 leads his exercise for 4 reps, then PAX 3 calls an exercise for 6 reps to lead. . .etc, etc. At the top deck of the garage we turned around and began to descend. At PAX 9 (Disconnect) due to time restraint, only the new exercise was called and completed

Count-o-Rama = 12

Name-o-Rama

Announcements: Freed to Bleed – Oct 30th CF Community Center; 10 days left in AOQ Challenge; Disconnect send off party – M’s & 2.0’s welcomed.

Prayers: Snip’s Ministry, Rubber’s Father, Teachers & Children returning to school with lots of unknowns, unspoken

Moleskin: This is a tight group with plenty of mumble chatter! Everyone pushed the guy next to him & himself hard today and it felt great! YHC saw healthy competition, heard words of encouragement, & witnessed different PAX stepping up to lead. YHC was honored to be a part of it all.

The bottom line is, “You never know what you can do until you step out of your comfort zone.” Its true for workouts and true for life. I challenge each PAX to step out of their comfort zone to get better. If you’re not a runner, then run; If you’re quiet, then speak up; and if you have doubts start believing. “Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you found him!” The PAX at Warthog embody this ethos & I was honored to briefly take the controls of the Mothership this a.m.!!

Aye!
