The Thang:

Throughout last evening I kept checking Twitter to see if the pre-ruck announcement for BombSquad had gone out. For the last couple of weeks a solid pre-ruck (Rousey,Peterbilt, & YHC) was enjoyed, but last week two of the ruckers could not attend, however, a pre-run was completed by Handy & YHC. The pre-rucks & pre-runs were a great way to warm-up (literally the last couple of weeks) before the beatdown. Besides these pre-Q’s are at 5am and therefore do not throw off our normal weekday sleep cycles. So after following Twitter with no announcement, YHC took it upon himself to Tweet out that  YHC would be at the AO at 5am ready for anything (pre-ruck, pre-run, pre-beatdown, etc). Unfortunately YHC didn’t send this Tweet until 10pm . . . no response!! 4:40 am rolled around and YHC bounced out and geared up!! A HC is a HC and I didn’t want to let anyone down if they showed at 5 based on my Tweet! YHC arrived at the AO at 4:58 to a vacant lot . . . 1 minute . . . 30 seconds . . . 10 seconds . . . No other PAX so what should YHC do? He will do exactly what he commited to . . . A pre-beatdown, wrapped inside a pre-ruck, surrounded by a pre-run!!(#thetriplelindy)(defined as any performance said to be impossible!)

The THANG:

YHC began by finding 1 lonely coupon and completed a ladder of Curls, Overhead Press, Behind the Head, & Squat.

Ladder Rung #1 – 20 Curls – mosey to opposite side of parking lot with coupon

Ladder Rung #2 – 20 Over Head Press + 10 Curls – mosey to opposite side of parking lot with coupon

Ladder Rung #3 – 20 Behind the Head + 10 Over Head Press + 10 Curls – mosey to opposite side of parking lot with coupon

Ladder Rung #4 – 20 Squats + 10 Behind the Head + 10 Over Head Press + 10 Curls – mosey to opposite side of parking lot with coupon

At this point I realized that I had too many layers on for 54 degree morning so I ran back to the truck to lighten my load. When I opened the door, my cell phone lit up with a message from Rousey . . .he just saw my Tweet, unfortunately he  would not be rucking this morning at BombSquad, he had a prior commitment with the True Ruckers down at Warthog!! (#2timer) . . .the show must go on

Run 1 Lap around the Church  – – – as I rounded the 1st Corner near the Shovel Flag I noticed a vehicle idling in the Parking Lot! Could it be a fellow PAX coming to join in this pre-Q fun?? As YHC came along the side of the car, the window rolled down. . . and it was none other then Flop!! Unfortunately he was not here to participate, but was meeting One Call for a ruck exchange (Warthog Ruck, same as Rousey)! He was in the Gloom with a smile even though he was operating on only 2 hours of sleep, nursing the Gout, and not attending a Beatdown this morning.  A promise made is a promise kept #HIM #Accountibility. . . We exchanged a little Mumble Chatter and I was off to complete my lap around the Church.

Complete run to Concession Stand at Baseball Fields

25 (2 count) Step-Ups . . . Run 2nd  mini-lap around T-ball Field . . . Saw One Call enter the AO for his Ruck exchange with Flop

25 (2 count) Step-Ups . . . Run 3rd  mini-lap around T-ball Field

25 (2 count) Step-Ups . . . Run 4th  mini-lap around T-ball Field

Run around Large Parking Lot back to Shovel Flag Lot

Grab my Ruck & keep it on for the Second Half of Pain
