The Thang:

Conditions:  About 70 and a little humid

YHC loves Saturday beatdowns.  The extra 30 minutes of sleep, 15 more minutes to work out,  and knowing I have the day off just seems to give me more energy.  The goal for the day was to keep moving and try to hit about every area of the body at least once.  Nothing super fancy planned, but let’s see how it goes.

COP:  SSH IC x 20, Imperial Walkers IC x 20, Tempo Squats IC x 15, Merkins IC x 22, LBAC IC x 15, LBAC in Reverse IC x 15, Front Arm Raises IC x 15, OH Press IC x 15

All PAX grab a coupon and head to the big parking lot.

The Thang:

PAX all lined up facing the long way of the parking lot with coupons in hand.

  •  Curls IC x 30, put coupons down, side squat to other end of lot, and mosey back.
  •  OH Press IC x 30, put coupons down, side squat (prisoner squat) to other end of lot, and mosey back.
  •  Tricep Ext IC x 25, put coupons down, Bear Crawl with Merkin at each line to other end of the lot, and mosey back.
  •  Kettle Swings OYO x 25, put coupons down, Burpee each line to other end of lot, and mosey back.
  •  Front Raises IC x 25, put coupons down, Lunge Walk with Squat at each line to other end of lot, and mosey back.
  •  Bent Over Rows IC x 25, put coupons down, Toy Soldier to other end of lot, and mosey back.
  •  Thrust Squats OYO x 15, put coupons down, Bear Crawl to other end of lot, and mosey back.
  •  Bus Drivers IC x 20, OH Block Carry to other end of lot and back.
  •  Curls IC x 25, put coupons down, Broad Jump Burpee to other end of lot, and mosey back.

Return Blocks and grab a Pallet for a quick relay.  PAX pushes Pallet about 40 yards while other PAX rotate between SSH, Plank, and Al Gore.  Repeat until all PAX have pushed the Pallet once.

Captain Thor in the grass.  Big Boys and American Hammers in 1:4 ratio up to 10:40.

Bernie Madoff (named by Quaker).  Like a pyramid scheme where you drop to plank and bring feet front to hands then stand up, then drop to plank and bring feet front to hands twice then stand up, and repeat up to 10 times before you stand up.  A real crowd pleaser!

We finished and it just seemed like something was missing.  The mumble chatter was light, especially for Sunshine and Rubber being there 🙂  Maybe we needed music?

4 PAX drove to Coffeeteria directly after while El Red Cardo ran there (to make it 5).  Yep, ERC ran the 4ish miles to Coffeteria after what YHC thought was a tough beatdown!
